Ten Household Tips and Tricks -Tried and tested to help you in running your home more effectively
- Let your stainless steel sink sparkle with a polish of baking powder.
- Use cloves in your sugar to keep away ants.
- Put Cinnamon sticks or cardamon pods into your teapot along with the tea leaves for a more flavourful cuppa!
- Always store tofu fully covered in water and in the refrigerator. Make sure to change the water everyday.
- Colas are as effective as expensive toilet cleaning solutions. So next time you have a party at home, pour the left over drinks into your toilet bowl, brush and flush for an instant clean-up!
- Baking soda and warm water poured down the drain can keep it from getting clogged! Do this every once in a while to keep your drain pipes running smoothly always.
- A stitch in time saves nine. Follow this to the last letter and watch yourself breeze through your household chores effortlessly, day after day, everyday!
- Keep a bowl of water close to where you are cutting onions and you won’t tear.
- When ironing keep iron one point higher than the range required for the material. The creases come off quicker. Works well with cottons and linens!
- Never use a knife to stir hot food. Heat damages the sharpness of the blade.
