MAKING A SWEATER COAT
Recycling good used sweaters can be a way of making money. Check out this great idea. Kat’s designs are very unique. She is a free thinker with a lot of fun artistic ideas and she makes a lot of one-off design sweater coats. All are aptly or crazily named and for sale. There are ones called Figgy Pudding, Seven Swans a Swimming and Zuzu’s Petals for instance.
Here she is doing a demonstration of how she makes sweaters into interesting coats which she sells in her Etsy shop. She uses an overlocker and makes it all look easy on here:
This is her home, which is as individual as her knitted creations. It was a plain old everyday white house when they got it and started to work on transforming it. A true work of art.
She calls the house CALICO which seems apt, and when they were working on it and the grounds around it she was not scared to get her hands dirty and to muck in. They put a lot of work into getting the place how they wanted it. Unique, eccentric and colourful are words which would describe this.
ONE OF HER COLOURFUL CREATIONS
JUST THE THING TO KEEP WARM IN WINTER
These patchwork creations come in all sizes and colours and every 2 weeks she posts more for sale on her Etsy shop. Apart from the coats, she does other things like hoodies and warmers.
