Well you do not need to have to spend a small fortunate buying furniture to change the look of your house. You can do a lot of small simple things that will help add up to a whole new house. The first thing that you will want to do if you are painting your kitchen cabinets is to remove everything from the cabinets, you do not want to be painting any food or pots and pans. After you have removed all goods from the cabinets you will want to remove the doors and hinges as well. You might wish to buy new hinges for the new look of your cabinets or you can keep the ones you have and either paint them or keep them as they are. If you plan on keeping your old hinges make sure to keep everything together you don’t want to lose a screw and be unable to put the hinges back. A good idea is to put all the hinges and screws together in one place in one baggy. You should wash down the cabinets before painting. Once they are washed and dried you can begin to paint, or varnish. You should read the directions as some products will require multiple applications, and they will require different amounts of time to dry. Once the panels and drawers have dried as well as the rest of the cabinets you may put back the drawers and panels. If you have a new look that the hinges did not work with now you can put the new hinges in instead of the old at this time.
