Spicy Food From Bazaar Ramadhan
We tend to eat more spicy food on the month of Ramadhan than any other months in the year.
There are many Bazaar Ramadhan stalls set up to sell food during the Ramadhan month. Each stall are selling their own speciality. They are simply mouth watering. We like to walk aroung the stalls to find our favourite Malay food for meals during this time of the year. We do not cook any spicy food at home so having spicy food like these is something out of the norm for us.
During the Ramadhan month is the only chance for us to choose variety of Malay food at one place. This year I found something new [to me], that is the Nasi Kelabu, they serve rice in light blue colour, the blue colour is from a type of flower called “Kerabu” in Malay. Pretty interesting.

Kerabu rice with fried fish, shredder coconut, and stuff chilie

Nasi Kuning with Beef Rendang, the beef has to be well cooking, or else it will be tough like this one we bought.

Nasi Kuning with fried fish in spicy sauce, simple, as we did not add on any side dishes to go with it

Nenas [pineapple] Paceri is one of our favourite side dish, very appetising, I love to have it with fish dishes

a normal marinated pickles. My favourite salad dish too. this is pretty easy to prepare, my all time appetizer.
