What do you think of when someone mentions the word “Kraft” to you? American cheese perhaps? Kraft is more than just cheese…
Check out the Kraft Foods web site and sign up for the Food & Family magazines and newsletters at
kraftfoods.com
. If you are from Canada, you can visit the Canadian version of Kraft Foods at
kraftcanada.com/EN
, which is available in both English and French.
I was referred to Kraft Foods by my mother-in-law and have been pleased with the experience I have had with them so far. You can sign up for magazines or newsletters via e-mail if you would prefer, that will provide you with seasonal cooking techniques and recipes throughout the year. Right now barbecue season is in full swing. Or just browse through their web site and take away any cookery tips that you require. If you are a foodie at heart, you will enjoy the following features on the Kraft Foods web site.
Message Boards
The message boards are designed to help all cooks out there who need advice about healthy eating, cooking for picky eaters, regional cooking by country and many other topics of discussion. For example, a post was left from someone who was looking for authentic Mexican food. The responses were interesting. According to the message board, taco soup is not a Mexican dish and tamales are not eaten by just poor people in Mexico.
Featured Recipes
The Kraft Foods web site is packed full of recipes ranging from appetizers, salads, main courses, drinks and desserts. A good feature is that you can focus in on one recipe at a time and look at its star rating. The grilled Italian-style potato salad scored 3 1/2 stars and received two good comments out of three. The recipes that are featured always provide a nutrition guide and offer suggestions on what to do with any leftovers. They also advice you on suitable substitutes if you are not keen on some of the ingredients.
Express Checkout
The express checkout is a great feature for busy people who need some inspiration. It can help people to plan for the week ahead and organize what they will cook from Monday to Friday. It provides 12 weeks of recipes. To the right of Friday’s suggestion, you will notice the “print this week’s shopping list” feature, that even takes away the work of writing out a shopping list for the ingredients you will need to buy. Kraft Foods have added a new healthy eating feature to their express checkout, so you can enjoy all the flavor of your favorite meals but at a fraction of the fat content.
Personal Recipe Box
Do you need to organize your recipes more neatly? Kraft Foods offers a free personal recipe box option where you can store all of your recipes from Kraft Kitchens or from elsewhere. To access this feature, you will need to sign up to Kraft Foods. Registered users can then rate recipes that they have tested for themselves, receive cooking tips and opt to receive the Food & Family magazine.
Kraft Foods is a great web site that offers so many options. It can be used as a research tool, recipe box collection or for organizing the family’s weekly meals. So what are you waiting for? Sign up!

I am not a Kraft employee and am therefore not able to look into why some people are not getting their magasine.
