The main definition of grilling is to cook by direct heat. Grilling is a cooking style used in almost every continent and is now a very popular cooking style in many countries. The device on which grilling is done is called a grill. Grilling is done in various ways in different countries by using different methods. Like in USA grilling is done always outdoors by using either charcoal or gas. Now there is a new type of grill which is called an indoor electric grill which helps in grilling inside the house and it has become a very popular method now. Whenever grilling is done then the food which is kept on the grill usually gets the grill mark which gives the food a completely distinctive look. As the source of the energy is either charcoal or sometimes gas so that is why lots of smoke is produced while grilling and sometimes this might also harm the food on the grill. Barbeque is also an outdoor cooking method which is chiefly used in Australia and South Africa. Now the method of barbeque has also become very popular in the North American countries and European countries. Barbeque is usually used to cook meat by using hot gases and heat from a fire. Barbeque is usually done outdoors and it uses wood or charcoal, As the Fuel to produce heat and fire. In many of the restaurants barbeque is done on ovens and also by using bricks. The main difference between grilling and barbeque is that grilling is a fast process of cooking food over high heat and barbeque is a slow process of cooking using indirect high heat. While grilling, The meat pieces of the food are kept much near to the charcoal and while barbeque the meat pieces are a bit far or at a distance from the wood or charcoal and that is the reason why grilling takes lesser time and barbeque takes more time. Usually for both these cooking methods only foods like meats and raw animal flesh is used. The open flame method is usually used in times when someone is at a camp or places where a barbeque or a grill cannot be present. Open flame cooking does not require any specific type of equipment or device to cook. For open flame cooking even an open born fire will work. This method can easily be used to cook any meat product or any food by just keeping the food near the fire. Now the open flame method is not as popular and as much used as grilling or barbeque is used. These two methods yield much better results than the open flames method and that is the reason why the open flame method is less used now. All the outdoor cooking methods which are mentioned above are not very eco-friendly methods because the fuels which are used in them are not very good for the environment and they cause air pollution. Sometimes the smoke emitted might also harm the food and that is why the foods are kept at a little distance and then they are safe for consumption.
