Lemon Pickle

Lemon pickles are very famous and are eaten as accompaniment to rice and curry.


500g lemons (cut into small pieces)

1 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp garam masala

1 tsp powdered mustard seeds

1/2 tsp powdered aniseeds

100g green chillies (cut lengthwise)

1/2 mustard oil

Salt to taste


1. In a pan, put some oil and add all the spices. 

2. Fry for some time.

3. Remove from flame, add the lemon and mix well.

4. Place in a jar and leave it covered for a week.
