A homemade stain remover is basic to use and does an excellent job removing many stubborn stains such as grass and blood easily.
Stubborn stains such as grass, pen marks, dirt, oil, grease and blood can be difficult to get out sometimes and store and name brand products can sometimes be too rough on out clothing, which is why I don’t use them. Instead, I use a homemade lemon lavender stain remover that gets stains out of my clothing and my boyfriends easily without paying damaging our clothing.
The ingredients needed are 2 cups of natural clear dish soap, 2 cups of hydrogen peroxide, 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of lemon and lavender infused water. All ingredients are basic and can be found at a local grocery store.
The way to make the homemade lemon lavender stain remover is simply by boiling 1 cup of water with some dried lavender flowers and a slice of lemon in it for 10 minutes. After, strain the dried lavender flowers and lemon from the water and pour the lavender lemon infused water into a mixing bowl. Add in the dish soap, peroxide and baking soda and combine the ingredients together. Now carefully pour and funnel the ingredients into a clean spray bottle and store in the laundry room until you need it.
The way to use the homemade lemon lavender stain remover is by simply spraying the spray directly onto stained spots on laundry and than simply allowing the remover to soak into the stain for a few hours. After, toss the laundry into the wash and give it a good hot soapy wash. Once the laundry is clean you should notice all stains have been removed. Now, if the stains are not removed you may have to repeat these steps until the stains are removed, but with a little patience and time the stains should come out.
