Glazed Strawberry Pie

1 pint strawberries, hulled

1 cup sugar

3 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 cups ripe strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 (8-or 9-inch) baked pie shell

In saucepan, crush 1 pint of strawberries. Stir together sugar and cornstarch; mix with crushed berries. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and clear. Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Cool. Stir 2 cups sliced berries into cooled cooked mixture and pour into baked pie crust. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream.
