5 Fast and Delicious Ways to Cook Leftover Rice
If you have some leftover rice from the previous day’s meal, you can easily convert it into another new meal!
Hawaiian Fried Rice
Saute minced garlic, chopped ham and put in the leftover rice. Season with salt. Add pineapple tidbits. Mix well. It’s fast, easy and delicious dinner idea!
Thai Fried Rice
Saute minced garlic, chopped chicken breast (or shrimp, or any meat of your choice), and put it in the leftover rice. Add Thai sweet chili sauce, and mix well. The reddish-orange color of this fried rice dish is beautiful, and it’s a simple and easy dish to bring to a potluck too!
Garlic and Egg Fried Rice
Saute minced garlic until golden brown. Pour in scrambled eggs. When eggs start to set, stir using your spatula so the eggs will break in pieces. When almost set, add in the leftover rice and mix well. Season with salt. This is a very easy and delicious fried rice recipe! It only takes a few minutes to cook it.
Tuna Fried Rice
Saute minced garlic and canned tuna. Add in the leftover rice. Season with salt. Mix well. If you are home from work and need a quick dinner recipe, try this! It’s a huge time-saver since there’s no chopping involved! (Except for the garlic). There are ready-made chopped garlic available in the supermarkets =)
Salmon Fried Rice
Same as above, but instead of tuna, use canned salmon. Sockeye salmon produces very good results, and it’s delicious! Garnish with chopped green onions if desired. The red and green combination of the ingredients gives a very nice presentation.
Tip: Cold left-over rice gives better results.
