Cheese Alternative: Delicious Cheese Substitutes
Cheese alternatives have a good flavor and texture and melt just like regular cheese.
Cheese is a dairy product and as such is not suitable for some people for various reasons. Some people don’t consume dairy because of their dietary preference-for example vegans. Other persons are allergic to dairy products and don’t consume cheese, milk or other dairy products for that reason.

Cheese alternatives can be used in place of cheese in cheese recipes or even enjoyed by themselves. Cheese alternatives have different flavors, for example soya cheese with a blue cheese flavor.
Dairy free cheese slices, and cheese substitute that can be used in the same way as mozzarella are available in most supermarkets, alongside regular dairy cheeses.

Sheese Cheese
Non-dairy cheese spreads, such as those made by Sheese, are also a good cheese alternative for people who do not eat cheese. The Sheese Company makes a creamy cheddar style cheese spread that can be used just like regular cheese spread, to make dips, deep pan pizza, sauces, pasta and other dishes.
Some dairy cheeses, for example Fontina cheese, melt very well. Fontina cheese melts into a mild and smooth cream and so any cheese substitute that is used in its place must also melt and produce a similar flavorful product.

Cheese alternatives that melt well are used in braciole, fondue and other recipes that require a semi soft cheese.
Rice Cheese
Rice cheese is completely non-dairy. Lactose intolerant consumers who are also allergic to soy can use rice cheese in their meals. Rice cheese is made to melt and can be used in macaroni and cheese and other recipes that require melted cheese.

Rice cheese is made from a rice base, non-dairy lactic acid, casein and other ingredients. It is available as cheese slices, blocks of cheese that are good for making lasagna, and shredded cheese for soups and salads.
