Candy Bar Pie

Want to wow your kids this summer with this cool pie in the hot weather. If your kids like snickers have I got a pie for them….=)

CRUST

1 Frozen dough pie crust from 15 ounce package thawed as it says on package

FILLING5 (2.07 ounce snicker bars)

4 (3 ounce packages cream cheese, softened

2 eggs

1/3 cup sour cream

1/3 cup creamy peanut butter

TOPPING

3 Tablespoons whipping cream

2/3 cup chocolate chips milk chocolate variety

EXCUSE ME WHILE I TAKE A BREAK TO DROOL OVER THESE INGREDIENTS =)

Heat oven to 450F. Place pie crust in 9 inch glass pie pan as directed on package for one crust filled pie Bake at 450F  for 5 to seven minutes or until very light golden brown. Remove from oven; cool it. Reduce oven temperature to 325F

Cut candy bars in half lengthwise , cut candy bars into 1/4 inch pieces. Arrange candy bar pieces over bottom of partially baked crust. In small bowl, combine sugar and cream cheese; beat until smooth. Add eggs one at a time. beat well after each addition. Add peanut butter and sour cream beating until mixture is smooth. Spoon over candy bar pieces.

Bake at 325F for 30-40 minutes or until center is set. Cool 2 hours or until completely cooled.

Heat whipping cream in small saucean until very warm. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips; stir until melted  and mixture is smooth. Spread over top of pie. Refrigerate 2-3 hours before serving Store in refrigerator.
