Ache – Homemade Foot & Muscle Relief

These are some of the homemade recipes that me and my family use around our home. They are inexpensive, and easy to make.

Your tired, achy feet will love this after a long hard day:

1/4 cup of coarsest ground almonds

1/4 cup of dry oatmeal

3 tbsp. of cocoa butter

2 tbsp. of honey

Combine all of the ingredients, and massage the mixture into your skin.  Pull on clean cotton socks, and I leave them on overnight.  In the morning, I remove the socks and rinse my feet with cool water.

Aching muscles

I ease my aching muscles with this homemade remedy:

1 tbsp. of petroleum jelly

6 drops of peppermint oil

Warm water

I mix the petroleum jelly and oil in a small bowl, and then place in a larger bowl of warm water.  I soak a towel in warm ( not hot!) tap water.  Wring it out, and drape it over the troubled area. Leave it in place for 3 to 5 minutes.  Remove the towel and massage the oil/jelly mixture into the skin.
