10 Uses for Lemons in The Home

10 uses for the lemon, there are so many things you can do with a lemon besides eat them.
You can use lemons, for cleaning, eating, freshening and much more.
1. Soften your feet
You can use lemons to clean and soften tired feet
Things you need:
- Lemon pulp
- Brown sugar
- warm water
- moisturising lotion
Mix the pulp of 2 lemons with 2 large tablespoons of brown sugar, wet your feet with warm water and rub all over the feet, leave for 5 minutes and rinse off with warm water and moisturise with your favourite moisturising lotion.
2. Get rid of Limescale
Things you need
- Half a large lemon
- Warm water
- soft cloth
Rub the half lemon on the surface, i.e draining board, sink,or taps leave for 5 to 10 minutes and wipe off with a wet cloth, rinse with warm water.
3. Freshen your breat
Things you need
- 1 lemon and warm water
squeeze the juice of the lemon into half a cup of warm water, gargle and spit out repeat until all the lemon water is finished. You can rinse your mouth out with plain water if you wish.
4. Highlight your hair
Things you need
- 1 Lemon
- Salt
- Warm water
Mix the juice of one lemon with salt and apply to hair, sit in the sun for about 2 hours then rinse off with warm water. Be careful about doing this all the time though as it can make your hair dry, but once in a while is ok.
5. Make Homemade lemonade
Things you need
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup organic sugar
- 1 cup of water
- ice
Blend all these ingredients and then add the ice, you can make it as sweet or sour as you like.
6. Combat a cold
Things you need
- Lemon juice
- clear honey
- warm water
Mix up these ingredients, again make it as sweet or sour as you like, this will soothe a sore throat, a cough or cold.
7. Soothe a bee sting
Things you need
- Lemon juice
- Warm water
Bath a sting in lemon juice and warm water, this will soothe the pain and reduce swelling
8. Keep apples and pears from discolouring
Things you need
- Lemon juice
Put lemon juice on freshly cut apples and pears to keep them from going brown.
9. Shine copper pots
Things you need:
- Half a cup of lemon juice
- Salt
- Warm water
Mix the salt and the lemon juice together and rub on your copper pot, and then rinse off and polish to a shine.
10. Make Lemon ice
Things you need:
- A couple of lemons
Cut lemons into small slices and put them in the freezer until they are fully frozen, put them in your drink to cool it down and make it more refreshing.
