Water Expires?

Ever wonder why Poland Springs include an expiration date? Wonder no more, the explanation is here.
It’s true that water cannot go bad so why include an expiration date? It’s due to the health law that requires all food items to contain expiration date within 2 yrs or less. Poland Spring has an expiration date of 2 yrs after the date of manufacturing.
But there is some truth to the expiration date. Although drinking water 10 yrs after the expiration date will do you no harm it might taste a little funky. Say you kept that water bottle in the basement for a year. It will pick up some of the dust from the surroundings do to the material the bottle is made of (polyethylene). If you keep bottled water in a clean dry environment it will last for decades.
So don’t throw out expired water (who keeps water for 2 yrs anyway?) they are safe to drink.
