Thrift Stores: Are They for the Needy?

Thrift stores and used clothing stores are they really helping those in need.

I know a couple with 5 children. The husband lost his job at the plant. The wife was handicapped from a car accident and couldn’t work. They were toss to the streets when they lost their home. I met them one day while feeding the homeless. They were in need of clothes and some personnel  items. I took then to several thrift stores for the needy. I was shocked to find out that the stores were charging high prices for their clothes. What happen to giving clothes away to the needy. Why make a profit of clothes and other items that a homeless person could not afford. I say open the doors. Let the needy get what they need. A decent pair of pants for 5 or 6 dollars isn’t right. How can you charge prices on things meant for them. Its not right. What has happened to America to make them so greedy and so not caring. How can you get a job wearing dirty stained or holes in your clothes? What make Americans so cold that they would charge someone  for clothes you threw away.Spend a day talking to the needy. The stories you hear are terrible. One store gave away clothes but you had to have social services write you a note saying you had no income. Talk about a slap in the face. Then you were only allowed one pair of pants, one shirt, socks, underwear, shoes if they had them. One pair of pants don’t cut it in my book. I’m sadden by the fact that people could do this to others and hold their heads up. I sat waiting on the little girls to choose an outfit. The ladies behind the counter were laughing saying how they found a brand name item in the clothes that came in that day. Its nice to get our pick first, they were saying and laughing. That made me so upset. These women were not in need .I saw one leave and climb into a green mustang and pulled out the parking lot. The nerve these ladies have. A store fore the needy should be a store for the needy. From now on ill give my clothes and other items to the homeless or needy myself. I cant trust the stores to do the right thing. Americans ripping off Americans in need. You should be ashamed. That is what id destroying the America i use to care for. How much longer can America survive with that much greed?
