The Danger of Microwaves

An article explaining how microwaves can be bad for you health. Microwaves definitely pose a threat to us, therefore we should decrease the amount of usage that it receives.
Technology can be amazing at times but it can also be our downfall. Certain technology should come with a warning label about the risks and hazards that many people will face by using them. An example of such a technology is obviously the Microwave. Many households, restaurants, etc. use them because they are more energy efficient than ovens and they are also much faster and more convenient than our traditional ovens that take almost 5 minutes just to heat up.Unfortunately this alternative is dangerous and also deadly to some.
When food is microwaved, the particles within the food are actually altered. The food depending on what it is, loses certain vitamins which decreases the healthy aspect of it, which is definitely a negative to this household appliance. The loss of vitamins have usually been found out in things like milk as well as other milk products. Another product that is dangerous when microwaved is meat. When meat is microwaved to destroy any bacteria that may still be on it, a cancer causing substance is the created and this increases the possibility that the user will receive cancer.A study done in 2003 showed that by microwaving vegetables, the vegetables lost between 60 and 90% of their nutrients. Another similar study also proved that milk products lost 50% of the B12 nutrient when microwaved. Yet another Russian study found that people that ate from microwaves, had a higher risk of intestinal and stomach cancers. This disturbing research ed to the ban of all microwaves in 1976 in Russia. Of course the corporate controlled government overturned this ruling and has ignored it ever since. In one instance a nurse microwaved blood in order to heat it up for a transfusion. Then later on the woman that had received the transfusion died of complications. This was a direct result of the fact that the microwave had infused the blood with harmful rays.
Overall microwaves are dangerous and in the long-term can be a potential killer. Without microwaves it is very difficult to manage a good lifestyle, especially for those that are constantly busy and in a rush. A decrease in our use of the microwave is the most probable thing to do.
