Taking Long Trips with Baby
This can be hard.
Taking a long trip with a baby can be very hard. The trip can be easier if you have toys, snacks, and stop every couple of hours. It does help a bit to have someone else with you. It does get tiring knowing you want to get where you want to go but have to stop often to let the baby out of their car seat.
I just got back from making a trip out of town with my sister’s baby. He was good sleeping most of the way there. On the return trip was the hardest on him as he was awake most the way home.
Babies do not want to stay in the car seat all day. They are to small to understand your on a longer then normal trip. You just have to find ways to entertain them.
1. Toys for their age:
Always have a good number of toys they can play with.
2. Snacks:
You should have plenty of snacks for them to chew on. Babies eat often.
3. Make stops:
Babies will scream and cry if you don’t let them out once in a while. If you have them in a car seat for to long they will let you know.
Taking a trip should not be stressful. So don’t let it be stressful. Have fun on your trip. If anything make sure you take your camera and when you make stops have your snack and take pictures on a blanket or table. They have rest areas all over the place. They really are helpful.
