Slim Fast Recall
Slim Fast has recalled all of its drinks due to bacteria being present in the product.
Today, Friday, December 4, 2009, Slim Fast has recalled its products due to bacteria being present. The bacteria present in the drink can cause illness from 30 minutes to 15 hours after consuming the drink. There is no lot number, expiration date, or any type of identifiable label to aid customers in finding which Slim Fast drinks are infected with the bacteria.
Slim Fast is telling customers that every version and flavor of the drink is currently being recalled. The name of the bacteria present in the drinks is “B. cereus bacteria.” This bacteria is not lethal, and you most likely will not die from its consumption. With that being said, it is still not safe to drink any Slim Fast products.
Customers who have Slim Fast products are urged to throw the product away immediately and contact the company at # 1-800-896-9479 for information on receiving a refund. After this issue is resolved, Slim Fast will start producing and shipping once again. It’s advisable that you purchase other low fat drinks until this issue is resolved.

I’ve noticed a metallic taste in pretty much every Slim Fast can I’ve ever had, but i would never expected any biological issues
