Quiet Washer and Dryer with This Easy Trick

Quiet a noisy washer and dryer with this easy to find product.

Beat-beat, bang-bang thud! You know the laundry is done and ready to moved to the dryer or taken out of the dryer and folded when you hear those specific noises. As the loads of laundry get near the end of the washer or dyer cycle, the noise gets louder and louder, drowning out conversation or Television. Here is a quick and easy way to quiet down that noisy washer and dryer – use scraps of carpet.

Place scraps of carpet under the feet of the washer and dryer to muffle the sound of the machines when they are in use. A larger piece of carpet scrap can be placed between the two machines to prevent the washer from banging into the dryer during the spin cycle and sounding like the house is being demolished.

Carpet scraps are easily accessible, often found at home remodeling centers, local carpet installer or carpet stores. Small, inexpensive throw rugs can be used if carpet scraps can’t be located.
