How to Make More Miles More Out of a Tank of Gas
Does it seem that you are always filling up your gas tank? Do you think gas is getting too expensive? Do you have to take public transportation because of the price of gas? Are you getting a closer to your home job because of gas prices?
Research that is recent shows that if you wanted to stay in one lane instead of going from lane to lane get two to three miles more out of each tank of gas. Why is this? because you have to use your brakes and accelerator and this means your car has to work more thus making you use more gas.
If your neighborhood has bad roads or you are going through construction areas and have rough places to go over, try to avoid those streets. Try a new route to get wherever you are going, and still go if it is longer because going over rough patches because the bad roads cause you to use more gas sometimes than the bad road. I don’t mean to go 50 miles out of your way.
I know everybody uses their car to talk on their cell phone, (you may be the exception if it is against the law in your area) Even my sister calls me everyday on her way home. It is not a good idea to do this even if you are on speakerphone or a headset. There is a possibility you might do something that causes you to use an extra gallon or two of gas and with gas prices you want to avoid this. You might not notice the red light and cars slowing down and hit down hard on your brakes that takes extra gas, you might miss a turn or go the wrong way and have to use extra gas to get back to where you were going. Or you might go faster than you meant.

Some very good advice here on saving gas.
All I can add is look three or for cars in front of you and if they start
braking then ease of your accelerator pedal. It often saves you from having too break yourself and saves you gas.
