I drive for a living so I have really taken notice that gas is expensive these days. I have discovered a few simple steps that can help improve gas mileage. Now I have more cash to take care of what’s really important in life like chocolate. So I suggest you follow these steps in order to increase your gas mileage and ease your wallet.

The are a few things you will need and I have listed them below:

+Car Parts

+Maps

+Car Repair Shop

+Car Mechanic

+Tire Gauges

+Air Filters

Ok so the first thing I recommend that you do is check your tire pressure. If your tire pressure is too low, add air in order to bring the tires to their recommended tire pressure.

The second thing I recommend that you do is check your air filter. If your air filter is dirty or old you need to replace it.

The third thing I recommend that you do is run your air conditioner less.

My fourth recommendation is that you drive calmly. You need to avoid any unnecessary acceleration and breaking.

My fifth recommendation is that you use a map to plan more efficient routes in order to avoid traffic.

My sixth recommendation is that when you fill up your gas tank you keep it above the one quarter full mark. Did you know that if your fuel levels run low it puts stress on your fuel pump?

My seventh recommendation is that when your driving you should use cruise control. In most situations if you use your cruise control it will reduce your fuel consumption and help maintain a constant speed.

Now if the recommendations listed above dont improve your gas mileage your car is probably in need of a tune up.

If you suspect your car needs a tune up ask a mechanic to check the gap on your spark plug. Then you can adjust or replace as.necessary.

While your at it you should ask the mechanic to look for fouled fuel injectors. Replace the fuel injectors as necessary
