Easily Make Your Lawn Look Great!

You’ll need a few things to start with, firstly being a lawn that needs mowing (above), and secondly a lawn mower (below)

Next make sure your lawn mower has its power source topped up whether it is battery powered, gasoline fuelled or humanly pushed. Also make sure to check your mowers oil and top it up when necessary. The next step is to edge your lawn, mow parallel to edges, wall and obstacles that the mower can’t get over (see below)

Now pick a pattern to mow your lawn in, diagonal, lines, circles or just running around randomly, it all depends how you want your lawn to look like at the end. Here are a few examples.

 I chose to do diagonal lines. The direction the mower is facing is the direction each line went. It’s a little hard to see the lines in this picture but they will show up better in later ones.

Once you’ve gone over the entire thing it should look something like this. Note I did not edge the edge of my lawn touching the driveway or the road; it is simpler and better for your lawn just too mow right off these edges and turn the mower around on the pavement. To get a checkerboard effect mow your lawn again 90° to the lines you previously cut, as seen in this picture. Also in this picture the original lines are more easily seen. Again the direction the mower is facing is the direction the new lines are being cut at.

And you’re done; you can now sit back and enjoy your freshly mown lawn.

Tips

Ø      Mow your lawn about once a week.

Ø      Change up your pattern every two mows.

Ø      Avoid mowing in the rain, nobody likes the rain.

Ø      Avoid mowing over soggy dirt.

Ø      Mowing without a bag on the mower is fertilizing, not being lazy.

Ø      Sharpen your mowers blades occasionally to ensure a clean cut.
